I roll tubes when they tell me they need to be changed, or there's a failure. Maybe 10 have been replaced in the past ten years, at the most. Otherwise, I leave them alone. The 6550s in my mc275 have been in there for 16 years or so. The EL84s in my office console pull tested below minimum 10+ years ago. They're still being used 4-5 hours per day.
