John,Thanks. I checked the schematic and the topology is as you describe. I'm an ME, not an EE, and my electronics is limited, so this had me stumped. I had gone through the usual double checks on my set up, double checked the grounds, etc. I had though about excessive contact resistance in the open circuit case and picked up the output directly off the internal circuitry, not the output connectors. But the story was still the same. The output rose under load.
Doesn't the presence of some negative impedance pretty much invalidate the usual meanings of Damping Factor and source impedance?
