Thanks for the tips, the compound is not dry at all so I will leave it be.

The amp has been working good since 1998 and is class A biased so it runs hot even at an idle..if all that has not dried out the compound then I am sure it will last for many more years before it needs to be done.

Id still like to get the circuit boards cleaner, even the 110+ psi shop air could not get the lowest layer of grime off because it is slightly oily.

I suppose just wiping them off with a soft dry rag is about all I can do eh?
