Isn't there a Catch-22 here?

If having different wiring between the 2 channels won't be audible, then why would having different (new) wire have made a difference in the first place? I suppose one could argue that both new cables are superior to the old....

As John says, it's impossible to predict the outcome with any certainty, but I generally try to make sure that the 2 channels are identical as much as possible. Seems like cheap insurance...

On the other hand, you're enjoying the way it sounds so why worry?
