No newspaper or magazine ad (except perhaps in the New Yorker) mentions the quality stuff. Instead we are bombarded, especially in the well-stuffed Sunday papers, with full-color ads for crap.Ditto in audio.
That's precisely why I linked a search for good food to a search for good sound. Neither is easy.
You say that Terms like "better" or "worse" are irrelevant, and here I must disagree. Everyone in my circle of friends has a discriminating palate, ear, eye... and when introduced to something *better* immediately agrees and embraces it. There's no argument.
