Guess what, guys?

Read on to learn how annoying your petty feud has become:

Effective immediately, here are the terms for your continued participation on any fora in the Asylum. Please note that the terms are not negotiable. If you can't agree, in full, for whatever reason, it's time to find another place to play, immediately:

- Cease responding to one another's posts.
- Don't make reference to each other in any of your posts.
- If you disagree with each other's response to a post, whether a matter of fact or opinion, direct your alternative perspective to the original poster. When doing so, do not refer to—obliquely or otherwise—or in any way comment in a manner that impugns, the other; The Bored will be the sole judge of whether or not this has happened and will act accordingly.
- Don't use the Asylum Emailer services to communicate with each other.
- Failure on either of your part to hold up this agreement will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

In general (meaning this applies to other participants on the board) it's hard not to notice a tendency for people interacting electronically to communicate in ways that they would never would in person. The only way to avoid a mess is to enforce a high level of civility. Anyone can write anything, as long as they meet their obligation to maintain a substantive, courteous, and civil discourse.

Sadly, in your cases, the privilege of responding to one another in any manner on our playground is now revoked.

The Bored members don't man the boards 24/7; they have real lives with people that they love and care about; they also often think that some folks invest too much of themselves in what is supposed to be a fun hobby. We'd really like to see the culture here evolve. You can make all the arguments you want about that, but in short, there can be a LOT of rubbish to dig through and it is becoming increasingly more likely that selective or wholesale deletes will become common.

When things reach a certain level of chaos, the easiest, least time-consuming, and often most-effective action (especially in terms of having the participants realize that it‚s important for them to self-manage or play an and constructive role in the development of their community) is a selective or mass delete.

We've asked participants on the board before to figure out how to self-manage the community you’ve created. We’ve asked that you act like adults. We’re tired of hearing about your inability to get along, act like adults, agree to disagree, or however you wish to frame it. A few are cooperating; and some are choosing to just make things worse.

Can the participants here learn to govern themselves without consistent mobilization of the Mod Squad? Will either of you be one of who becomes a positive force in this community?

Fax mentis incendium gloria cultum, et cetera, et cetera...
Memo bis punitor delicatum! It's all there, black and white,
clear as crystal! Blah, blah, and so on and so forth ...
