Hi.I also measured the noise level of a basic so called power surge protected power strip (those cheapies from home depots, Wall-Mart).
All come with a lit-up on-off power toggle switch.As I got the impression the red neon pilot lamp built in the toggle switch would emit noise, I did an experiment with & without the pilot lamp lit up with a simple bypass on the power switch.
My wideband powerline noise analyser did show a very small drop in the powerline noise level of the power strip WITHOUT the neon pilot lamp on.
