Good article, Joey. Some work in the mid '80's, in'Hi Fi News' when it was run by John Atkinson, that showed some of the vibration problems with caps. However, this has not been followed up by many researchers. This would be especially problematic in loudspeaker xover caps, but it could extend to other electronics. It is not surprising that Charles Hansen, Bob Crump, and I , located in different parts of the USA, independently found the best cap for our needs to be the same brand and type of cap. Coincidence? Hardly! It is because this cap is VERY well damped mechanically, as well as being good quality, electrically.
