I don't mind people who make an effort to understand quite a bit of slack.Somebody whose preconcieved notions prevent them from even reading a tutorial without questioning very well understood basics, on the other hand, is going to get much less slack when they play to the audience and pretend to have the expertise to claim that well-known techniques don't do what they do...
