Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

Be a wise audio consumer.

Hi.

May I suggest you to write in short paragraphes so we can read them easier.

Every market gets its buyers aided by commercials, & write-ups. This is the way the economy runs. It is up to the consumers to play wise.

Expensive hi-end audio can sound awesomely good. One time, I was invited to a young criminal lawyer's 4,000ft residence to audition his 100% Audio Note set-up, from turntable to speakers, all silver through out, with market value over a quarter million greenbacks (four years ago). The owner got over hundred thousands of LPs (packed up 5 tall racks) beside the equipemnet rack.

He enjoys listening his music, lying on a lazy-boy type vintage British rest chair some 25 ft OFF axis from & completely OUT of sight of his small 2-way floor speakers & equipment rack. Is it amazing? Indeed music filled up so naturally the whole listening area like a live band playing somewhere in a distance. So enjoyable & so life-like.

I dropped my jaw big bigtime & I couldn't bother to listen back my cheapie stuff a few weeks afterwards.

This is indeed an excellent example of ideal matching of equipment
where the owner seems to know exactly what he is doing. He said he chose his equipment by the sound quality, given money to him is no object. He must be one of a kind rich & willing audiophile.
