I fact it should be noted that Stereophile, a mag. associated with subjective reviewing, appears to be as heavily involved with measurements as anyone else. But ultimately what I'm interested in is results and unless I'm mistaken no one has yet cracked the measurements code, if you like, and is able to state that this or that set of measurements is a guarantee to good sound. Would I object to such discoveries, why would I?But I will say this, there is a far greater likelyhood that the correlation between measurments and good sound will emerge from the group that acknowledges the variances in sound quality vs. the crowd that seems to have always had problems admitting the differences exist in the first place. But then that statement is so manifestly obvious I feel a little silly having made it.
