Having recently viewed a subwoofer (1x18, pro audio) which was described as being "rear loaded", I was curious about what such a design entailed. In the picture, it looked like a typical 4th Order Vented with a slightly oversized vent, but the name implied that some kind of horn-loading was lurking just behind the baffle. Does anyone out there who cracks open an acoustics text now & then have a clue about the nature of this beast? Any input will be appreciated. (Guessing is OK, I wouldn't know any differently!)
