Hi Gang,I was just kinda curious to know your thoughts on the matter. I know that the nearfields are designed for the tweeter and mid to be at their most cohesive at the nearfield listening distance of 3-4ft., but in general, how would you describe their sound at typical home listening distances of 8-12ft? Would they be acceptable? I know the Genelecs have the waveguide, but numerous other companies use a flat front baffle, yet are also labelled as nearfields. Do you think the waveguide makes things worse when listening outside their recommended range? How about Quad 12L active(flat baffle based on Quad 12L) versus the new Genelec 8030?
Many thanks,
Ran
