All dither can affect the outcome of audible freqs. The best bet is to do two files, one with and one without. Do playback. Document what artrifacts you can live with and those you cannot, and make the adjustments prior to dither to make the dithered outcome exactly what you want. I have redbooks that rival a 32/192K due to this technique.I raises the 3.25khz a smidgen but not in a terrible way. No top rolloff to my ears..but maybe a tad of below 35hz force. I do linear no phase shifting eq to correct this in 0.1dB increments. As many renders as it takes, all non destructive.
Again, the problem is making certain dither is never used more than once in a total file excursion. This is tough to monitor.
