Re: DBX and other's subharmonic synthesizers

Many nightclubs have used them, especially disco's in the past. In the later 70's, I had a set of Klipschorns and after a night at the disco, I remember that some of the bass tones (down below 30) were not coming through. I inquired with the DJ as to how he was getting these "different pressings" and he loaned me the SHS to use for a few days. Once you get used to it on dance music, it is quite entertaining, although it adds highly inaccrate bass. One good turn of the big knob and your shirt would be moving...that is what it does. I bought one but it got old pretty quick and I sold it.

Big knob, shirt moves and massive pressure, small knob, tons of punch in your chest.
