When I had a set of maggies with the ST70, it was really a nice experience....but just too polite for me, the bass was boomy, and mushy, and you really need SS to tighten up that panel, and keep it from flopping around.Now if you want to really love the sound, do a 120 hZ crossover, and run two sets of maggies. SS on the bottom, and tubes 120hZ up !!!!
Getting the balance right for you will be subjective, but man o man, the clarity, image, and definition of having the quick bass, with the fluid mid bass and highs would be an acheievement deluxe.
