Amek Big Suprtrue problems

I just recently got a 486 (PC) and the cable assembly for the Amek Big 28 with virtual dynamics.
My problem is getting through the DOS to set this system up.
I followed all the commands, created a batch file and loaded the latest version of software (3.5) via the floppy I got from Amek.
All the appropriate cards are installed in the console, the cable assembly is attached, but I keep getting an "abnormal termination" message on the 486.
If anybody has got the answers or a place to find them, It would be greatly appreciated
