If you are looking at either of those you must be considering the weight issue. Let me point out that the only reason the plastic PA boxes with the amps on board sound better is because the extra weight and rigidity of the amp damps the cabinet walls. Also consider if an amp goes down you lose both the amp and the speaker util it's repaired or vise versa.The JBL MR series uses (basically)the same components but the box is wood and sounds much better. If you can live with the sound and weight is the primary issue, get the unpowered boxes and a crown CE 4000 at under 30 lbs.
