I expect, like the other poster said, the BR20 is calibrated for quantegy or BASF tape. the BR20 has a flip-up front panel, which gives access the the calibration pots. As you probabbly know, calibration for these machines can be a bit of a minefield without the right equipment. If you buy it new from a good dealer, you should be able to ask them to set it up for your preferred type of tape.
Some nice BR20's appear on ebay for not much money these days as most people go digital, so you can save a load of money there.
Also consider the Studer A807 & A810, which are even better machines than the BR20 and can sometims be picked up used for bargain prices.
