It would be my guess that if it an older machine then most likely it's lined up for Ampex 456. Some broadcast suppliers still carry the BR-20 new and I would guess it would be lined up for Quantegy GP-9
You may want to obtain a service manual for the machine as well as it will explain the alignment procedure in full detail
