I'm confused. If "audiophile" gear is supposed to be most concerned with accurate reproduction of sound without adding any coloration of it's own... how then is added distortion the "right" distortion? It would seem to me that added distortion could be classified as added coloration. For what it's worth I use phile speakers with pro amp. I used to use phile amp. Well I suppose maybe I should say high end. Phile is a bit beyond mere high end. I think?
