Home Pro Audio Asylum

Pro studio recording equipment and music production/industry.

Roland: What I meant by cheaper was.......

For example; Headphones and Headphone Amps. You can buy what is considered a "great" pair of Studio Headphones for $100-$200 that many Audiophiles would also use for listening to music on their Home systems. But,then there are the so called High-End or Audiophile headphones that cost 3 or 4 times as much(which many I have heard)and are not as good or worse than some Studio Headphones that are a lot less expensive.

Same with Headphone Amps. Most Audiophiles think that Pro Headphone Amps are crap and can not compare to the Audiophile Headphone Amps. Not to say that the Audiophile models are not good or even great. But, compared to the prices of a Pro headphone amp to an Audiophile model,it seems that many of the Audiophile models are overpriced and overdone.

Just curious what you "Pro" people think and not to say that one is better than the other.
