While the shipping is expensive from the US it is probably not so bad from Northern Europe or Britain. And you can find some good deals. I love looking at the pictures on ebay. Audiogon is a website short on pictures but has nearly all good equipment, a lot of it demos, closeouts, etc. Be careful though. I would look for someone with no more than 1% bad feedback i.e. 1 in 100 transactions. I think it's usually better to buy from an audio dealer with a reputation to protect or an individual owner with all positive feedback, as opposed to an auctioneer/ estate liquidator. Folks in the latter category may have never shipped a turntable before and despite their good intentions it arrives broken. And try to avoid components that weigh a lot (:Good luck,
