Can only talk from my own personal experience, but at the price the new Kef Q series speakers are hard to beat. Good sound from a budget speaker. I bought a Harman Kardon Surround amp and a matched set of the Kef's. The Harman Kardon has a fair amount of "grunt" given its price point and doesn't destroy all the detail, better warmer sound than the Onkyo in my opinion. The kef's (I'm talking about the lates ones, seem to exhibit more detail in the treble than earlier guises. Critisisms? The mid is a little forward, but at this money what do you expect. Good bang for your buck, sounds decent on classical music. If this system doesn't suit your need, I would look at secondhand equipement, you will get more for your money that way.Regards
