Help: Cheap mixer with 8+ digital inputs (TOSlink & coax)?

I'm looking for a relatively cheap mixer (in the Behringer price range) to merge & mix digital outputs from several hard external sources (not digital tracks in a sequencer).

MIDI fader control would be a big plus. It can be 19" rack or, even better, a PC-based card. I need at least eight S/PDIF TOSlink consumer optical and/or coax inputs. 44.1kHz is fine. AES/EBU outputs would be a plus also.

For the record I already know about:

www.nirvis.com DXS switcher (no mixing and now discontinued!)
www.msbtech.com Digital Director switcher (no mixing)

and most other so-called automatic switchers: they don't offer mixing capabilities or simply don't work :-(

I also know about www.creamware.com Pulsar/SCOPE boards and similar products. They usually offer only ADAT Lightpipe inputs, etc.

Thanks for your help!
