I find this odd, since most engineers are very open about their work, and proud to discuss it. I can't imagine Rudy Van Gelder refusing to list some of the high profile projects he's worked on. I've read interviews with him, and other recording engineers, and they tell wonderful stories of recording sessions and musicians openly in magazines and other media. I don't see how what an engineer works on is a state secret. It's his body of work, and he has to broadcast it to get more work.
