New direct-to-track 4 channel DSD demos, at CES

Hi Inmates,

I really appreciate the suggestions and help from members of this Pro Forum as I was deciding on microphones and preamps and all the recording gear that was so new to me a few years ago. Well I am happy to say that we will have a very intersting surround demo at CES. Even if we haven't gotten it right, we will have failed in some new ways and learned alot. Come by say hi and give a listen.

In a few hours I will be on my way to Las Vegas. We have been busy making DSD IsoMike recordings, this time in 4 channel, since mid 2004. You all are invited to visit our surround demonstration at the Alexis Park, NOT in the Kimber Kable room, but a couple of doors down from that. (I don't recall the room numbers) The big TAD speakers with big Pass amps with EMM Labs convertors, playback direct from GENEX and TASCAM DSD sources, in 4 channel, no mixing, compression or limiting. ohhhHHH yaaaaAAAA could be exciting!!

Asylum members should ask for a copy of our NEW IsoMike Tests 2005A SACD. This is a Hybrid Disc, with 2 channel red book and 2 channel DSD and 4-channel DSD.

AA members who are not attending CES can send me an email in 10 days and I will send you a copy. N.B. If you send me email before 10 days it will end up in email purgatory for a while as I sift through the back log, but if you wait the 10 days, then it will be sent the day we get the email. Also, I only accept email from registered members, yup! so you need to join AA and support this Asylum before you can email me to get a disc. Memebership has its rewards.

While I will be giving the discs away to AA memebers, I will also be asking that you consider, but not required, making a contribution to the music department at Weber State University. If you get the disc at CES you could give me a check (of any amount) payable to Weber State University. Or you can wait to see how much, or if, you want to contribute after you listen to the disc.

Best wishes to all and a Happy New Year,

Ray
