Re: New direct-to-track 4 channel DSD demos, at CES

Sounds very interesting. I've been making "pure" DSD recordings for about 18 months now, since purchasing my Genex GX9000. Unfortunately, for my local / indie clients, the final product has always been converted down to red book CD. But we had some great times listening to the master recordings prior to conversion to PCM. Now Tascam has introduced their new DV-RA1000, a DVD recorder that can store DSD files on DVD! Finally, I will be able to archive 2 track DSD master recordings!

I managed to completely miss the DV-RA1000 at the SF AES show a couple of months ago. I hope someone can give this new box a serious listen at either CES or the upcoming NAMM show. I really want to know if this thing lives up to its promise?
