From my experience Altec Model 19s are nice. The Gillum G3s are nice for a smaller nearfield if you can find them. Klipsch Belles and LaScallas aren't bad either. The Electro Voice Sentry IVB aren't shabby for a big room. Of course none of these are made anymore! I don't like constant directivity horns. There is no such thing. I like the sound of plane wave, concentric. hypex and tractrix horn progressions. But then that is my musical tastes. Ray Hughes
