large format monitors

Pro studio recording equipment and music production/industry.

IM interested in knowing your guys take,.or favorites on large format studio monitors.I know alot has changed in monitor speakers in general
over the last decade or so...
The control room that we are designing here is D shaped,with the aim
of mixing board centered between the two large speakers which will be sunk into the wall on either sides of the double glass that looks into the main studio
We will be recording, jazz, pop and pop format christian music here
*i'll also throw in ,.that there is nothing wrong with vintage speakers,.as im of the beleif that new is not allways better
when i say large,..I mean in old tannoy,JBL large (physical size)
so...have fun guys and it will make for intersting reading and consideration.
