If you're keeping costs down I'd recommend Mackie, the 1402VLZ-PRO is a good little mixer and can be picked up pretty cheap. Also the new Yamaha MG series mixers seem to be put together well, tho I haven't heard one so I can't vouch for the sound quality. Soundcraft are pretty good too, though the build quality is only so-so in my opinion. If you have a littl emore cash to spend you could check out a used Allen & Heath.
