I've got a Yamaha 01v and I wouldn't trade it for anything, except another Yamaha digital board. The dynamics processors and EQ alone are worth the price of the board, and with no outboards required it is absolutely dead quiet. Need outs? How about sixteen if you need them. Then consider the digital in/out capabilities for the studio and slaving boards for additional channels and the memory features and I can't imagine using an analog board. This may not be the one for them, but they should be looking at digital options.
