Torn by tough choices

I've got a new group of garage band guys looking into replacing their old mixer. They are using a Mackie 1604 VLZ.

Their price range fits the following.

Allen & Heath PA28
Mackie SR32.4 VLZ
Souncraft Spirit
Yamaha MG32

The A & H and the Soundcaft have preferable EQ. The Mackie and Yamaha have preferable I/O (aux outs).

My leanings are screw the AUX'es, go with the A & H.

They want the Mackie since it looks so cool. Of course, I showed them the Yamaha last night and half the folks drooled over that board.

Any experiece out there with these guys?

TIA

Tom
