The software is easy; You're using a PC clone so SOUND FORGE by SONY (formerly Sonic Foundry) (gives two channels only) or Vegas Video 5 would give you an unlimited number of channels and it is a good all around PC media software. Vegas 5 with DVD authoring would also set you up to do DVDs. The AD-DA conversion is another matter and I would look at the ESI waveterminal 192M card. It gives you four channels. A192X would give you only two channels. Don't know if you want to lay down pilotone, SMPTE time code or Kodak keycode so that enters into the number of channels. Another choice is the RME Hammerfall cards. But think 24 bit and 192 KHZ sampling. It's easy to buy old tech! And think about where you're gona go from here! Just my humble opinion. GR
