You can't use mu stage with the JE115 type of mic transformer because the mu stage multiplies the miller capacitance and thusly lowers the bandwidth to about -3db at about 10khz. A cascode will work but will overload easily. Or Try a plain old CC stage and keep the plate resistor value on the low side. Many designs use the 12ay7/6072. Also consider the 7dj8 with the two sections in parallel or a 5842. Either of these two tubes can be used with a JT-MB-C.Robert Morin
