What active studio monitors for Yamaha P-80 keyboard?

I don't really know if this is the right place for this question but nothing ventured, nothing gained.
My wife has a Yamaha P-80 keyboard. For her birthday, I was thinking of getting her a keyboard amp/speaker. I was eyeing a Fender 90 watter. Now, I'm thinking that an active monitor set up might be more desireable. It would be more amenable to a nearfield set up than the Fender I think. Anybody got any opinions out there? And are there any monitors worth getting at $365, the price of the Fender?
