You're right - they do have a great feature set. It's kind of a shame that their quality has declined. The first Composers, around 1994 if I remember right, were great. When I sold off my rig a couple of years ago I still had the first one I bought then. A few more recent purchases had been tossed, as they broke and were impossible to get repaired. By that time the price point had become so low it was better to just throw them away and buy new ones. Buy then I probably had 5 or 6 composers, 1 multicomp, and 3 multigates.

After BSS came out with the Omnidrive, Behringer tried to counter with the Ultracurve I believe. Played with 3 of them the first couple of months and they were very noisy and would lock-up for no apparent reason. The lastest DSP is also noisy, and to me sounds brighter and harsher than the Driverack PA. That said, the Driverack PA has it's limitations also. You can not split the unit up into an independant dual-mono, which could be an issue. The Driverack 260 sounds much better, but it's price-point is more than twice the PA unit.
