Uh, if you like the Proto's that much, the 800 or 1000 might just kill you. Even the little Tannoy Reveals sound a LOT nicer than the Proto-J in my opinion. And they are still cheap little nearfields with very little low end; just nicely balanced through the rest of their range. But the 800 & 1000 models will give you that missing octave and enough volume to knock passing birds out of the air. I'm a big fan of those speakers and they are at the top of my list when I have a space large enough to warrant trading up from my Reveals.steve
