I am the audio guru in my church. We recently have purchased a SR32.4 VLZ PRO board by Mackie. I did quite a bit of research before choosing this board. I am extremely happy with it and would recommend this piece to anyone. I am recording directly onto a Sony Minidisk and a Tascam Cassette recorder. I have set the levels on the source inputs to 0db. I have also set the recording levels to unity. The recorded levels themselves are perfect. When I adjust the source sliders the levels change accordingly on the recording. The problem I am having is the sound is completely different than the original source. I have tried bypassing the monitors and adjusting my sound through the Minidisk recorder. The recording still comes out with an excessive amount of bottom end and not quite enough highs. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
