It has digital out, in the means it can transfer through USB connection.

My idea was to use this machine for location recording : gigs, or lessons, or cool sounds etc, then transfer files to my mac, edit master and burn...Just as I could do with a portable DAT of Minidisc, but with hopefully better quality as MD (no compression when recording) and something more practical than DAT, which doubles as mp3 jukebox for long rides....

What would you expect from the quality of the A to D converters ???
