That is, rather than just place the image in the folder. I'm not completely sure whether this is more reliable but I'm suspecting that it is.
Like you, I will look for images online if my ripping software, (dBpoweramp), doesn't find one automatically. My player, Foobar2000, doesn't search for images real-time.
