That makes sense about other services allowing Amazon/Alexa access.

As an aside, Alexa has optional "Skills" that can be enabled. Honda made an Alexa skill that when enabled in my Amazon account would allow me to ask the status of my SUV in the garage or parked in a parking lot:

"Alexa, ask Honda to start my engine."

"Alexa, ask Honda to keep my vehicle running."

"Alexa, ask Honda to lock my doors."

"Alexa, ask Honda to unlock my door."

"Alexa, ask Honda to flash my lights."

"Alexa, ask Honda to flash the lights and sound the horn."

"Alexa, ask Honda how much fuel do I have?"

"Alexa, ask Honda how many miles are on my car?"

"Alexa, ask Honda what is my oil life?"

"Alexa, ask Honda if I have any warning lamps on."

"Alexa, ask Honda is my car due for maintenance?"

"Alexa, ask Honda to look for nearest (POI)."

"Alexa, ask Honda for directions to (POI)."

"Alexa, ask Honda to send an address to my vehicle."
