However, if you move your mouse, the cursor will move. In other words, it might be the GPU causing the trouble. A fast GPU can create ground loops. If the DAC has a badly isolted USB receiver, you will start to hear this as both PC and DAC are galvanically connected.
In that case a USB isolator is the solution.
