I also use a MAC Mini, with 2 LaCie 300 GB drives, as a music server. Don't forget the Mini also has an Optical Out. You could use an Attraction DAC with the optional Optical Out and pump that right into your pre-amp. I'm still saving for my Attraction DAC, another two months or so. Then, I think it'll work nicely with the Trends Audio TA-10 that just arrived from Hong Kong. Great value. I must say, the Mini works SO well for music.
