Yahsu:If you want to use your PC for dual purpose you very well can.
Just use the ASIO output for 2-channel audio and do NOT select this device for any of the "default playback / record / midi / voice" functions.
For everyday computer sounds (and movies, etc). by all means, select THIS card as the default playback / record / midi / voice card.
You can have your cake (ASIO) and eat it too (Direct Sound, Wave, Surround sound, games, movies, etc).
