Thanks for the explnation about Direct Monitor. I have found that checking it improves the sound. But some here think this is rubbish.

On my system, I prefer 0.47a to 0.51, which gives a 'mellow' kind of voicing.

But seriously, enabling virus protection and firewall has far more negative effect and gives hf an edge that is not pleasant.
