It's showing you the effective compression i.e. a track shown at 300 kbps is compressed more (for a smaller file size) than a track showing 1084 kbps, and has nothing to do with fidelity. This all depends on the content of each individual track. During playback, the songs are uncompressed to thier original 1411 kbps.
