Yes I have thought that using a cdp as the dac from my computer would be the best solution, but I have not looked at all the options.I do not understand all the different ways to connect the computer out put to a dac. Optical, RCA ect.
Also good cdps are $$$$. Such as the Quad 99 cdp-2.
