Thomas,Thanks for your input. Idiotically, I didn't think about clipping. I was boosting a few frequencies well over 12 db, and dropping others by up to 5, to try and get a flat response. So of course, I was clipping. I'll be more cautious, and hopefully J River will provide protection.
