Re: M-Audio BX5a

i dont feel they need a sub, but one is available. i had the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and the M-Audio are far superior. they are a little on the bright side, but play very loud - louder than i care to listen. for near field listening i find them better than most computer speakers. the Guitar Shop has many options to choose from and they actually have good prices. overall, i'm extremely pleased with the set up. naturally, they have flaws, but for the money i found them to be excellent. i got a mini to xlr cable and plugged them straight into the computer and they have good seapration, adequate bass, and do well with most types of music. if i had the bucks, i would have bought the active dynaudio monitors, but they were 3x as much.
